It is crucial that our culture positions us as an employer of choice and enables our people to perform at their best.For more information please visitAbout the opportunityThe Senior Manager, Strategic Intelligence & Information Management is responsible to the Deputy Commissioner of State Taxation for leading and managing a small team of analysts to deliver a range of data driven solutions across the broader business.The role will suit an innovative thinker, with an inquisitive mind and passion to use a range of data sources to develop intelligence focussed approaches aimed at meeting RevenueSA’s risk based approach to understanding client behaviour. Working closely with our compliance team, this role will assist with the identification, development and monitoring of targeted enforcement and education programs designed to promote up-front voluntary compliance.In this regard, a level of financial literacy, conceptual analytical ability and broad understanding of the tax system at a state or Commonwealth federal level will be advantageous.The Senior Manager, Strategic Intelligence & Information Management will need to liaise and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, while being able to operate with independence and autonomy.About youIdeally you will possess experience in a regulatory intelligence environment, particularly in developing initiatives and delivering intelligence to support strategic objectives including a very good understanding of intelligence, information technology and analysis methodologies.This experience could have been gained in a commercial, banking or finance setting as a data analyst or data scientist or from within a State or Commonwealth taxation office.You will bring expertise in analysing and synthesizing complex data, with a strong ability to interpret and clearly present insights, findings and recommendations. Proficiency with software and tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft PowerBI, and SQL will be considered an asset.A strong communicator and collaborator, you will be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders and subject matter experts internally and externally to develop solutions and propose new ways of thinking.You will likely be an accomplished Manager, able to extract the most from your team by providing clear instructions, guidance and support.What we offer
