Our client is searching for a Project Manager to join their team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate has construction project management experience working with a General Contractor and is process driven, with excellent communication skills.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Review scope of work reading and understanding bid documents, specifications and drawings.
• Participate in creation and review of project proposals, drawings, RFI’s and contracts.
• Assess and develop relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Create Project Plan
• Estimate internal resources and determine budgets (installation cost, schedule, etc.)
• Create and manage customer and vendor schedules
• Value engineer, identify risks and perform risk analysis
• Facilitate and coordinate delivery of products from vendors to site
• Schedule and manage installation crews ensuring work meets the client’s standards of excellence
• Focus on quality, schedule, budget, communication, and change management
• Track and manage progress on site
• Consistent internal and external communication
• Documentation and management of change orders
• Creation and adherence of deficiency identification, correction and communication plans
• Creation and management of Schedule of Values ensuring prompt invoicing
• Delivery of closeout documents as identified in the project plan

Your strengths include:

• 2-5 years Project Management experience
• Understanding of basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing principles.
• Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset
• Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Mechanical, Civil Engineering Technology or similar field.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Proven Excel skills for data collection and analysis
• Ability to problem solve using critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
