The Team also leads the development and delivery of the Cyber Security Industry Development Workplan.As the Senior Manager, Critical Technologies you will provide leadership and line management to the Critical Technologies Team to develop and deliver effective strategic policy, programs and initiatives which supports the growth of South Australia’s critical technologies industry to help drive the state’s economic growth and productivity.You will be responsible for developing and implementing forward thinking, responsive and adaptable strategies that leverage Commonwealth Government and industry investment and that align to the National Critical Technologies Statement as well as the state’s priorities.Key Competencies:To apply and succeed in the role, you will have: * A strong understanding and contemporary knowledge of critical technologies that support economic growth and productivity opportunities for South Australian industry including, artificial intelligence, machine learning, photonics, quantum technologies and cyber security.
- Experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of strategic programs, projects and initiatives that drive innovation and industry growth.
- Demonstrated experience of strategic engagement with universities, research institutes, government and industry.
- Knowledge of government policy development, governance, decision-making, management and accountability systems and processes.

Qualifications:
- Essential: Nil
- Desirable: Technical cyber security credentials and/or a tertiary education qualification in a relevant discipline of science, research, technology or management.
Special Conditions:
- The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing
- Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment.
