The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.YOUR JOB AND DAILY MISSIONS:Context & Team objectivesThe newly created Global Chief Underwriting & Pricing Office (GUO) will be accountable for establishing, enabling, and driving profit and growth through Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design and Technical Underwriting Excellence in partnership with the AXA Entities, for both Commercial and Retail, through:

  • Portfolio Design Steering
  • Underwriting and Product Strategy
  • Technical Underwriting Guidance
  • Pricing Models, Platforms and Analytics
  • Risk Appetite deployment
  • Ceded Reinsurance strategy design and purchasing

As part of the Group Chief Underwriting & Pricing Office you will join the Group Life, Savings and Health Pricing Team as Life & Health PricingActuary/Data scientist. You will join a team that ensures Market Leading Technical Pricing in Health & Life Products & Deals for Group benefits.Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to Market Leading Technical Pricing in Health & Life Products for Group benefits (Group Health, Group Protection, Group Pension (Employee benefits and Credit Life)
  • For Group Health & Life Products, participate to Pricing Technical Reviews and execute a thorough review on Pricing Strategy, Adequacy, Governance, Tools, etc.
  • Support Portfolio Management Processes through initial buildout to Metrics validations, Strategic Plan and actions’ validation to achieve desired profitability for Group Health & Life Products.
  • Enforce the execution of the Pricing Policy including best practices and technical standards for governance.
  • Work closely with Group Underwriting, Operations and Centers of Excellence to implement the Pricing Technical Excellence Plan
  • Address Regulatory Pricing Topics related to Group Health & Life products and develop actions plans to respond to legal and regulatory changes and ensure fairness.
  • Stay abreast of and appropriately communicate knowledge of industry changes, specifically changes that affect pricing.
  • Share expertise on product pricing.
  • Engage closely with members of CUO, Entity Underwriting and Pricing members, Reserving, TDO, and Finance to improve pricing accuracy and overall business performance.

DimensionsGlobal scope: Group Life & Health businesses & geographies.Stakeholders:This position will work closely with Pricing teams within the entities. Reviews and transversal initiatives will be carried with teams in GIE and entities across Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial function, Underwriting, Claims, etc.QualificationsMain competencies and experienceExperience

  • Data Scientist, Associate actuary or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of experience,
  • A Health and/or Retail P&C experience in pricing is a plus
  • The knowledge of tools like Akur8, Earnix, Dataiku is a plus
  • Experience interacting with experts and evolving in matrixed environments.
  • Experience in driving change and building relationships.
  • Experience in working in multicultural and multifaced geographically diverse teams.

Competencies

  • Expertise on product pricing methodologies, including pricing algorithms, pricing optimization, and advanced pricing/modeling techniques
  • Proficient use of traditional data processing and analysis tools: Python, R, SQL, PowerBI…
  • Ownership on outcomes with strategic and operational rigor.
  • Verbal communications skills to gain buy-in to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external clients.
