WE HAVEN’T PRESENTED OUR TEAM!Data plays a crucial role in L’Oréal’s research and innovation activities to propose always more performant and sustainable cosmetic products.Inside the Algo, Data and LabAutomation Tech platform L’Oréal R&I, the Beauty Tech Data Team is a growing group of people who are passionate about the emerging technologies in Cloud, Data, ML, GenAI etc … The team is composed of Cloud Data Architect, lead Data Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Delivery Managers.With technologies such as GCP, Databricks and, we build our scalable and always updated data platform to integrate the different data sources and to expose a unique and universal view of all data inside the Research and Innovation. We cooperate with the international hubs on the three different continents, we help research teams to verify the quality of data, to cross and leverage the potentialities of data in their Analytical and Artificial Intelligence use case.INTERESTED? THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO IN NUTSHELL!As a Technical-Functional Product Lead inside the R&I Beauty Tech Data Team, you will contribute to accelerating L’Oréal’s key transformations, with a priority given to L’Oréal For The Future transformation and securization challenges. How? by creating a data model acting as a single source of truth, allowing Decision-makers to facilitate strategic orientations and Métiers to build the most relevant actions plans.You guarantee an optimum functioning of the product by always optimizing the existing and proposing adapted architecture design for the new needs. You will also cooperate with the experts from the Global Beauty Tech Data Team and our partners like Google, Microsoft, Databricks to leverage the most updated knowledge.In addition, for a concrete data product development lifecycle, you will be in contact with the delivery team to ensure the delivery roadmap, work with the métier to understand their requirement and support the Data Analyst or Data Scientist for their data consumption.IF YOU WANT TO GO FURTHER IN DETAILS, THIS IS WHAT YOU COULD EXPECT TO DO
- Identify, challenge and prioritize business needs in collaboration with product owner
- Based on user centricity, design new analytics products to deliver best business value
- Participate in the workshops with the different stakeholders: Data Product Owner, Data Analyst, Data Scientist to promote the data usage and to leverage the value of data
- Supervise development teams, using the agile methodology (SCRUM)
- Build the data pipeline with existing templates to ingest data with the best practices (CI/CD, Code Quality, Test coverage etc.) and monitor the production environment once deployed.
- Design the data modelling and data exposition to use case with Data Architect and ensure the security of data with AmaaS (Access Management As A Service)
- Optimize in continual improvement of the architecture using serverless or managed services on top of Google Cloud Platform
- Perform and/or supervise unit testing and bring support to users for acceptance testing
- Communicate with stakeholders, elaborate and report regular global status on projects and support activities you will be responsible for, underlining the main alerts or attention points and synthesizing action plans undertaken
- Supervise and ensure the right contribution of multiple interfaced projects/teams
- Work in an international environment and cooperate with hubs based in China, US, Brazil, Japan and India
- Aware of new technology innovation and realize them with the PoC project.

- 6+ years IT technical experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering with a first experience in Cloud environment GCP and Power BI
- Experience designing data models and data warehouses and using SQL and NoSQL database management systems
- Good Experience with one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, TypeScript etc ) and success in implementing applications or APIs
- Good understanding of the DevSecOPS
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity to new technologies with good ability to learn quickly
- Good resilience to face the challenge and resolve the difficulty
- Engineer’s degree (Bac+5) or equivalent
- Verbal and written communications skills (French and English)
Secondly, in this specific position, it will be helpful for you to have some experience in:
- Simulation tools like Anaplan
- Scientific background would be a plus.
And finally, you may not be an expert with all requirements listed below, however, you must show great curiosity in understanding the non-mastered technologies.
- Exhibit broad understanding of technology and the business intelligence landscape.
