Job title: Founder Associate (1-2 yrs experience)
Company: Growth Kitchen
Job description: This is an incredible opportunity for someone who graduated 1-2 years ago with a technical degree (maths, data science, engineering), has a keen eye for data and perhaps some day wants to become a technical co-founder. The ideal candidate understands AI and is keen to apply the latest developments to data science and other technical challenges. Consulting or banking experience will also be considered, if the candidate has advanced skills in Google Sheets, SQL, data analysis, reporting, and visualisation and is able to read and understand code. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for some management and non-technical work from time-to-time.About Growth Kitchen Growth Kitchen is on a mission to make eating great food the norm. Our platform enables kitchen operators to sell well-known restaurant brands, such as Athenian from their existing kitchens. We have recently raised a funding round, are selling millions of dishes every year and scaling fast. We have set up strong and scalable AI, data and tech foundations, however, we are still in early days with lots of exciting opportunities to get stuck in. You will be joining a team of around 20 incredible people, with a working product and millions in annual revenue.About the Role We are looking for a technical Data Scientist who will lead in building best in class analytics products for the food delivery space. The ideal candidate is technical (python, SQL and surface level understanding of basic tech stacks – HTML,CSS,JavaScript and service to a service architecture, APIs, ML models and data structures). As we are an early stage company, in addition to their core technical skills, the ideal candidate will have some experience or interest in early stage startups and is comfortable getting involved in non-technical challenges based on data (e.g. take part in product conversations, speak to customers, run quick analysis on Google Sheets, or just sometimes pick up work that doesn’t really belong to you in order to build the business). You will work with our operations and customer success teams as well as our customers to build data-led products that improve the performance, sales and profits of 100s of kitchens that cook food for delivery. We have the foundations (data structures, AI models), however, you will have an opportunity to take this a lot further. We’ve gone from zero to one; you will take us from one to ten.RequirementsWhat you will be doing
- Improve our AI engine to handle increasingly complex user queries (together with engineering team)
- Analyse and improve our data structure (SQL), using AI and common sense
- Work with founders, designers, engineers, customers and operating teams, managing priorities and help make decisions
- Balance scalable and non-scalable data analytics to figure things out and drive our company towards a data-led culture
What you need
- Curious about new technologies, especially AI
- Deep understanding of complex formulas, scripting, and writing complex queries to manage databases
- 1-2 experience working as data analyst or engineer with a keen interest in general business and company building
- Alternatively has strategy consulting or banking experience – with a data / software education
- Entrepreneurial, business minded who doesn’t why away from non-technical challenges from time to time
- Excited to be part of an early stage company, wearing many hats, for example running some quick, simple analysis that may not be the most scalable or technically challenging
- Ability & desire to work with and guide our off-shore engineering team’s priorities
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Significant stock options
- Pension Scheme
- 25 days of holiday + Bank Holidays
- ClassPass subscription
