Our teams use data and analytics to identify customers’ needs and safely provide insights, contact journeys and innovative solutions to deliver world-class experiences. We’re part of the Chief Data and Analytics Office and our team works with our Everyday Banking and our Chief Control Office (CCO).

You’ll be joining a great team whose focus is to support our CCO in purging customer data. As a Data Technical Business Analyst, you’ll utilise data analysis techniques, coupled with domain knowledge to provision data from a variety of sources working with Teradata and Omnia.

With advanced SQL you’ll be performing data extraction, cleansing, data profiling and gap analysis. Elicit requirements from key stakeholders, including senior management, using a variety of methods, including facilitation of workshops, to capture business requirements and translating into functional designs using knowledge of system capabilities, data, rules, and architecture. Provide support and participate in both functional and non-functional testing.

We’re interested in hearing from people who

Are highly experienced with data sources, data extraction, data cleansing and ingestion within a large complex organisation

Understand how to create new data flows in Omnia

Are passionate about ensuring attributes of data, relationships between data elements and sources of data are defined and mapped

Lead with confidence when partnering with business stakeholders, gathering requirements and providing input into solution design and data modelling decisions

Have extensive hands-on experience and expertise in data design, flows, data layers and data semantics

Analyse data profile, Data lineage and data patterns

Provide support and participate in both functional and non-functional testing to ensure high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks

Good at identifying data risks and mitigating the same

Good Stakeholder management and analytical problem solving

Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

Advanced SQL and Excel skills

Adept in Teradata and Omnia

Knowledge of messaging platform like Kafka

Knowledge of Ab Initio

Exposure to cloud based data warehousing (preferred)
