Job description: Pathology IT at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust is looking for a Pathology IT and Applications Support Officer with experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems who will work as part of a growing team to support over 300 staff across our laboratories, providing a vital service to the hospital and local community. You should be able to handle confidential information, work to tight deadlines and multi-task to deal with incidents awaiting resolution. You should have first-hand knowledge of a range of Pathology systems (e.g. WinPath Enteprise, CyberLab, SampleNet), ideally with system administration experience. You should have strong IT skills, experience of processing data and reporting (e.g. Excel, PathManager), experience of writing standard operating procedures and an understanding of project management principles.Main duties of the jobBHRUT is working in collaboration with Barts Health NHS Trust to implement a new cross care setting, real time, patient centric Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that will improve the quality and delivery of care to the patient. The new system Oracle Health Millennium will be implemented as a domain extension from Barts Health to BHRUT. The Trust will continue to support its existing application eco-system until the new EPR is delivered in Spring 2025. The post holder will work with and support EPR Programme Director and dedicated project team around Millenium interfacing with existing pathology systems, primary care order communications and other related projects.About usWe’re an organisation that is getting better and better.
